Today as of 12:00am the 26th of December in NZ I am 34! If you haven't figured it out already Midnight Rose is me <3. I find it completely mind blowing thinking of how much things have changed in the last year. Another year older, another year wiser, and another year of goals conquered.
One year ago today I left our little house on 5 acres where my husband and dad were changing out the subflooring in our mobile home where we discovered that the water heater had leaked unbeknownst to us.
One year ago today I was on my way to The Equine Natural Movement School wearing my husbands polar jacket, braving the cold for the third and final module of learning Equine Structural integration nursing a stomach ulcer.
One year ago we were raising money by selling off our posessions and rehoming some of our precious creatures (we miss you red Vixen) to fund our home remodel as we were prepping for an unknown future in Florida and didn't want to increase our 50k debt.
One year ago I knew that I was ready to take the risks and do whatever was necessary including jumping into the void and knowing that God may let me flail but I would never fall.
Today, we are in a completely different place than we were. There was heart ache, toil and strife but we kept pushing ahead, relying in our faith in God, and the things we learned from past experiences as a platform to dust off and allow ourselves to become the people we needed to be.
Today I have since graduated from The Equine Natural Movement school, have learned beautiful things from the horses and wonderful mentors such as Celeste Leilani Lazaris and her Training Through movement Method who inspired me to keep going when things were rough.
Today we live 2,488 miles away from the place we called home for 10 years. We sold our home for almost twice what we had bought it for, my parents sold their home and we now live in a beautiful home with an apartment attached where my parents live on 19 acres that we plan on turning into a natural wonderland of horse and human healing through massage, movement, and plant magic.
Today we live debt free thanks to the sale of our home, we funded our move and replacement of the materialistic things we left behind and I was able to pay for the Florida School of Massage in Cash.
Today, as of a week ago I am a graduate from the Florida School of Massage where they taught me not only the manual hands on skills of working massage magic on the human body, but also the skills to communicate my needs into the world and to be present for the people who come to my table.
Today my son is outside with my master photographer husband playing in the sunshine and sand while my parents are off to church.
Today the future is bright, for everyone. Today is yet another day that you can decide that things can be different, that they need to be different so you can be the person you were meant to be in this world. The person God intended you to be to inspire the world and live your best life.
Let today be the day you take one step forward to pursuing your dreams. It may be harder than you imagined, but the things you learn good and bad are invaluable to your overall growth.
Live the life you've always dreamed of. And if a way is not clear, clear it yourself. You deserve it!
